The plot of Halloween follows a mental patient who murdered his teenage sister on Halloween night when he was six years old. Fifteen years later he returns to his hometown and stalks a female babysitter and her friends.

It got an approval rating of 96% based on 69 critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with an approval rating of 8.69/10. Scream is an American slasher movie written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Rose McGowan, Matthew Lillard, Drew Barrymore, and Skeet Ulrich.
Scream was released on 20 December 1996 and collected around $173,046,663. The film is a black comedy with a violent slasher genre to satirize the cliches of the horror film. Scream is considered as unique at the time, and the characters were pretty much aware of the real-life horror, hence openly discussed the cliche nature of attempted subvert.
The plot centers around the character of Sidney Prescott (played by Campbell), he is a high school student in a fictional city Woodsboro, California. Prescott becomes the target of a mysterious killer known as Ghostface.
Wes Craven’s Scream is a slasher movie with comedic films. Unlikely other horror movies, Scream is close to the real world, which adds to the scare factor. And for those who have not yet seen it, get ready for the amazingly shocking end.
The Blair Witch Project
The Blair Witch Project is a supernatural horror movie directed, written, and edited by Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick. The film is based on a true story of three student directors- Michael C. Williams, Heather Donahue, and Joshua Leonard. The three students go for a hike in the Black Hills in Burkittsville, Maryland. All three disappeared, and the footage of the whole tragedy was discovered a year later.
The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on 23 January 1999. The Blair Witch Project was released on 14 July in the same year and received a positive reception from the audience and critics as well. The project collected a gross $250 million worldwide.

The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Nightmare Before Christmas (aka Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas) is an American animated dark musical movie directed by Henry Selick and conceived and produced by Tim Burton.
The story centers around the King of HalloweenTown named Jack Skellington, who stumbles across a portal to Christmas Town and is obsessed with celebrating the holiday. The voices of the characters were given by Catherine O’Hara, Ken Page, Chris Sarandon, Paul Reubens, Ed Ivory, William Hickey, and Glenn Shadix.
Christmas was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, and it was widely accepted by audiences as well.
Trick ‘r Treat
Trick ‘r Treat is an anthology horror movie directed and written by Michael Daugherty and produced by Bryan Singer. The movie stars Rochelle Aytes, Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, and Dylan Baker. The plot of Trick ‘r Treat revolves around the course of Halloween in the fictional town of Warren Valley, Ohio. It centers around Sam, who is a trick-or-treater dressed in burlap sack and pajamas, and who enforces the rules of Halloween.
The movie got R-rated, and it told an interconnected anthology including zombies, serial killers, and supernatural villains. Trick ‘r Treat holds an approval rate of 84% based on 25 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with an average rating of 7.41/10. IGN called the film a well-crafted Halloween horror tribute and a scary blast.
