David Ayer, the director of the 2016 film “Suicide Squad,” said that his version of “Joker” was not as bad as it has been shown. He is pretty confident that if people see the original cut of the film, they will get to know that Jared Leto’s Joker was much better than what people often reckon.

Ayer wrote on Twitter that Jared Leto’s version of the Joker looked so much better in the uncut version of the film.

It is needless to remind you that the 2016 film “Suicide Squad” has its haters. The theatrical version of the film was a lot different than what David Ayer had imagined for the film. In his previous interview, Ayer had alluded towards how the film might have appeared in the theaters had the studio not have decided to cut some portions.

Now, when Zack Snyder has confirmed that the infamous actor will re-portray his infamous character in the re-adaptation of an infamous movie, David Ayer got to have some say in that. And indeed, he has spoken to his followers on Twitter that Jared Leto has done a much better job than what people had imagined.

Of course, Heath Ledger (now add Joaquin Phoenix into the mix) will remain for eternity, but that does not mean that David Ayer’s beloved film should have been “ripped to pieces.”

Despite the fact that the veteran director has revealed a place where the fans can witness a version closest to his, many DC fans want to see what exactly David Ayer had made.

So, when his follower told him that he knows for a fact that Jared Leto’s version was a lot better in the original cut and demanded that he is just looking for a way to see it, David Ayer replied to his comment in a succinct yet powerful way- “Vastly better.”

Should David get an opportunity just like Zack Snyder to relay his film in the way he intended to, it will be awesome for the fans. Ayer has also remarked that re-adaptation of Suicide Squad will not be as difficult as the Justice League. Nevertheless, Warner Bros. has not said anything regarding the adaptation of the 2016 film despite the relentless demand from the fans. However, a sequel to that film starring Margot Robbie is already on its way. The film is being helmed by James Gunn.
