Concept Artist of “Eternals” Has Joined the Production Team of “House of the Dragon”

The concept artist who is well renowned for his work in the Angelina Jolie starrer “Maleficent” and who has also been involved with the production team of the upcoming Marvel’s film “Eternals” has joined the production team of “House of the Dragon.”

We have to acknowledge that despite the underwhelming storytelling done in season 8, the show had outstanding visual appeal and was known worldwide for its stunning costumes. So, that means there is high pressure on the production team who has now embarked on making a prequel series to match the virtuosity of the D.B. Weiss and David Benioff creation. To ensure that they do not fall behind on this, HBO is assembling its troops for the project.

As the show will be based on the characters developed by George R.R. Martin, the “House of Dragon” does need some virtuous people in the costume design department to come anywhere close to the pedigree obtained by the former series.

The name of the person who will be leading the team has not been revealed yet; however, someone named Benjamin Ip, who had aided in the design of the templates for the high concept costumes that was eventually used in the film “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.”

Benjamin Ip has also been involved with Marvel’s Eternals projects and is inarguably highly rated by the big guns of the industry. And fans would love to know the fact that he has recently confirmed to his Instagram followers that he has joined the production team of the “House of the Dragon.”

He shared the symbol of the “House Targaryen” on his Instagram handle and said that he is grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the “Westrosi” adventures and added that he cannot wait to see the dragons that he will create for the show.

The name “Benjamin Ip” has been added on House of the Dragons’ IMDb page, and the man has the experience of working as a ‘concept illustrator’ previously. Some may feel that IMDb is not always reliable when it comes to informing who is involved in what projects. However, given his past experiences, it seems as if IMDb is legit right about Benjamin Ip this time.
