The Robin Williams documentary is titled Robin’s Last Wish. The trailer can be seen on Youtube. The upcoming movie is specifically about the lesser-known disease called the “Lewy body dementia,” which the actor was suffering from. The rare condition is what is believed to have complicated William’s life in later years and ultimately forced him to take a drastic step at the age of 63. Lewy body dementia is a neurocritical degenerative disorder that hinders the patient’s cognitive abilities.

Robin William was a fan favorite. He was one of the most talented and acclaimed comedians who brought nothing but happiness into his audience’s life. However, Lewy body dementia filled his life with hopelessness which he did fight for a long time. William’s battle with the infamous disease is discussed in the film by his widow, friends, and colleagues who later came to realize the true cause of his misery.

As said in the trailer, William’s final days were “roller coaster of hope and despair.”Robin William ended his life on August the 11th 2014, breaking the hearts of his fans worldwide. People who knew very well used to call him “a genius” and “a warrior,” but they knew “there was something eroding within him.”

Everything wrong with him in his final years could be traced to a disease he was carrying in his brain. Lewy body dementia slowly and steadily took its toll on him up to the point where his anxiety and mental health degraded to the point of no return.

The film examines Lewy body dementia in detail and the torment it incurred on Williams. The film will be released on September the 1st 2020.

The brain behind the film is that of Susan Schneider Williams, who is the comedian’s wife. She named the film “Robin’s Wish” to pay tribute to his legacy.

Robin Williams with the full name Robin McLaurin Williams has been heralded as the greatest of all time in the field of comedy. He started his career doing gigs in San Francisco and Los Angeles and tasted massive success for the first time by playing the alien Mork in Mork and Mindy which ran from 1978 to 1982. As an artist, he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for playing the famous role of Sean Maguire in the film Good Will Hunting. He also earned several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations as well as awards apart from winning five Grammy awards

Robin William may have left the world, but his awe-inspiring legacy will not disappear any time soon, if not forever.  Several Hollywood celebrities had also paid tributes to Robin Williams in the documentary, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind.

The trailer is out on Youtube, and the film will be released on September the 1st, 2020.
