In 2019, Apple introduced the trio of iPhones, i.e., iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS, and iPhone X. All three devices came with sunning improvements and upgrades. Looking back in history, Apple’s iPhone XR inspired the successful creation of the iPhone 11, and other models like the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max replaced previous iPhones. You can get your hands on the latest iPhones, but the 2019 models aren’t too bad either. If you are planning to invest in iPhones, then you must be aware of the specs and features they have to offer. In this comparison guide, we are going to elaborately check the differences between the iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS, and iPhone X. if you are interested in saving some money without compromising on great features, then check the detailed guide below:

Design and Durability

The iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS, and iPhone X look similar to each other, so one must inspect appropriately to find any difference in their bodies or design. These models look alike majorly because all three of them have a 5.8-inch screen and feature a slim bezel and a notch on the device’s head. These are made of stainless-steel frames and have glass backs. The only significant difference you can find is on the iPhone 11 Pro. It sports a square rear-camera module while the other two only feature two cameras. Also, iPhone 11 has a unique color variant that is called the ‘Midnight Green.’ The iPhone 11 Pro model is also heavier than the other two devices.

In terms of durability, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone XS have IP68 water-resistant rating, and the iPhone X has an IP67 rating. The iPhones with an IP68 rating can survive up to 4 meters of water, whereas the iPhone X can submerge in only 1 meter of water for up to 25 minutes.

Display

The iPhone XS and iPhone X feature a 5.8-inch super retina AMOLED display, whereas the iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR OLED. The iPhone 11 Pro is the first device by Apple that sported an OLED display. All three phones have 2436 × 1125 pixels (458 PPI) screen resolution. Along with this, the company increased the brightness and contrast ratio to up to 2 million-to-one from 1 million-to-one.

Performance

Every year, Apple sets its benchmark significantly higher than before with the processors they use on their iPhones. The iPhones get better with each passing year. The iPhone 11 Pro uses an A13 Bionic chip processor, which is better than the A11 Bionic chip used in the iPhone X. Comparatively, the A13 chip works 20% – 30% faster than the A11 chip, and it consumes less power as well. The iPhone XS uses an A12 Bionic chip that is better than the iPhone X but is slightly less powerful than the iPhone 11 Pro.

Both iPhone XS and iPhone 11 Pro have 4GB of RAM, whereas the iPhone X has 3GB RAM and 64GB + 256GB of storage space. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone XS has 64GB + 256GB of storage space, but it is expandable for up to 512GB. Comparatively, both iPhone XS and iPhone 11 Pro can function better and smoother than the iPhone X.

Camera

If you want a good camera quality that matches up to the quad-cameras’ capabilities that are trending in the market these days, you should go for the iPhone 11 Pro. The iPhone 11 Pro has a triple-lens 12MP Wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto rear camera mounted on its back. It also has a 12MP TrueDepth front-facing camera that captures stunning selfies. You can use it to capture wide shots and in good quality even when the lights are dim.

In contrast, the iPhone XS and iPhone X have similar cameras that don’t match up to the photography level of 2020 but are still manageable. Both of these have a dual 12MP rear camera along with a 7MP TrueDepth front-facing camera.

Battery

Apple never reveals their devices’ actual battery capacity but gives a rough number for how long the iPhone can function. The company claims that the iPhone 11 Pro can perform and run four to five times longer than the iPhone XS. The iPhone 11 Pro gives up to 18 hours of video playback, and it requires an 18W charger. The iPhone XS has a 2,658mAh battery, whereas iPhone X has a 2,716mAh battery. Both iPhone XS and iPhone X use a 15W charger. All three models support Qi wireless charging as well.

Conclusion

Overall, iPhone 11 Pro turned out to be an all-rounder, and its specs are way better than the iPhone XS and iPhone X. All the devices come for $999 only. It is better to choose iPhone 11 Pro as it gives better features and specs than the other two at the same price point.
